S-Force Nutrition is what YOU need!

In a 7-year study of more than 36,000 women ages 50 to 79, researchers at Kaiser Permanente found that those who took both calcium and vitamin D supplements gained less weight after menopause than those who took a placebo. Other research shows that without enough vitamin D, our appetite-regulating hormone leptin can't do its job.
Our vitamins have the required vitamin D and calcium.

Most commercially available milk is fortified with vitamin D, but most children and teens don't drink enough of it — four cups daily would be needed — to meet the new requirement, said Dr. Frank Greer, the report's co-author.

The new advice is based on mounting research about potential benefits from vitamin D besides keeping bones strong, including suggestions that it might reduce risks for cancer, diabetes and heart disease. The new advice replaces a 2003 academy recommendation for 200 units daily. That's the amount the government recommends for children and adults up to age 50; 400 units is recommended for adults aged 51 to 70 and 600 units for those aged 71 and up.

The previous two reports came from news articles and this last one (from a magazine) I found just shocking!

A recent study reported 23% of those polled would opt to spend a week in jail if it meant they could reach their ideal weight. That percentage would also shave their head for the same outcome…21% would trade 10 years of their life to be at their ideal weight.
